Quick Overview

The DIYables 18650 Charger Board and Battery Capacity Indicator Set combines a TP4056 lithium battery charging protection board with a 3S lithium battery capacity indicator module. Together they give DIY battery projects safe USB Type-C charging and an at-a-glance power level readout, for power banks, portable devices, and Arduino or ESP32 builds.

The TP4056 board takes 5V from a USB Type-C cable and charges single-cell 18650 and other 3.7V lithium cells at up to 1000mA, cutting off at 4.2V with 1% accuracy. Built-in protection stops the cell from discharging below 2.5V and trips at 3A overcurrent, all on a compact 28 x 17mm board. The capacity indicator shows remaining battery level on an LED segment display, runs from 3V to 34V with only 5mA current draw, and measures voltage within 2% in a 44 x 20 x 8mm size.

Ideal for DIY power banks, portable speakers, handheld tools, robots, flashlights, and battery-powered Arduino and ESP32 projects. Three complete sets cover multiple builds or spares.

Key Features

  • TP4056 Charging Chip — Charges 3.7V 18650 and lithium cells using a constant current, constant voltage profile
  • USB Type-C Input — Charge from any 5V USB-C phone charger, power bank, or computer port
  • 1A Charging Current — Up to 1000mA maximum charging current for faster charging of 18650 cells
  • Accurate 4.2V Cut-Off — Charge cut-off voltage of 4.2V ±1% prevents overcharging
  • Over-Discharge Protection — Disconnects the load at 2.5V to protect the cell from deep discharge
  • 3A Overcurrent Protection — Guards the battery and circuit against short circuits and excessive current
  • 3S Battery Capacity Indicator — LED segment display shows remaining battery level at a glance
  • Wide 3–34V Working Voltage — Indicator operates across a 3V to 34V range with 2% voltage error
  • Low 5mA Current Draw — Indicator draws only 5mA, minimizing drain on the battery
  • Compact Modules — 28 x 17mm charger and 44 x 20 x 8mm indicator fit inside small enclosures
  • 3 Complete Sets — Three charger boards and three indicators for multiple projects or spares
