Quick Overview

The DIYables 10mm LED Module set puts a large 10mm diffused LED on a compact 20mm x 20mm breakout board, one each in red, yellow, blue, green, and white. The 10mm dome is far easier to read at a glance than a standard 5mm LED, staying visible across a room and from wide viewing angles, which makes these modules well suited to status and indicator work rather than decoration alone.

Each module brings out a simple 3 pin header labeled GND, VCC, and IN. The current limiting resistor is already on the board, so a single digital output pin switches the LED on and off with no external components and no breadboard resistor to size. The header pins come presoldered at standard 2.54mm pitch, so the modules plug straight into a breadboard or connect with DuPont jumper wires. Driving the IN pin from a PWM capable output dims the LED or produces fading effects.

Ideal for project status lights, alarm and fault indicators, traffic light models, logic level display, and classroom electronics where five distinct colors let each signal have its own meaning. Works with Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, and Raspberry Pi, and with any microcontroller that can supply a digital output.

Key Features

  • Five LED Colors in One Set — Red, yellow, blue, green, and white modules so each status or signal in a project gets its own color
  • Large 10mm Diffused LED — The 10mm dome is far more visible than a standard 5mm LED, readable across a room and at wide viewing angles
  • Onboard Current Limiting Resistor — A 330 ohm resistor is already fitted on the board, so no external resistor is needed to drive the LED from a GPIO pin
  • Simple 3 Pin GND VCC IN Interface — Connect ground, power, and one signal wire, then switch the LED with a single digital output
  • Compact 20mm x 20mm Board — Small square PCB fits panels, enclosures, and crowded breadboard builds without taking up space
  • Presoldered 2.54mm Header Pins — Header plugs directly into breadboards and DuPont jumper wires with no soldering required
  • PWM Dimming Support — Feed the IN pin from a PWM capable output to adjust brightness or create fading and pulsing effects
  • Consistent Building Block Footprint — Same board outline and pin order across all five modules, so wiring stays identical when swapping colors
  • Wide Compatibility — Works with Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, Raspberry Pi, and other 3.3V or 5V microcontrollers
  • Tutorial Support — Step by step LED tutorials available for Arduino, Arduino Nano, ESP32, ESP32 MicroPython, and ESP8266
