Quick Overview
The DIYables 38KHz IR Receiver and Transmitter Sensor Module Kit includes both an infrared receiver and transmitter for complete IR communication in your projects. The receiver uses the 1838 chip with high sensitivity, a center wavelength of 850nm to 940nm, and a detection range of up to 1.3 meters. The transmitter uses a single-tube direct transmission design with a 20-degree emission angle, and the waveform is modulated by your program.
Each module features a real-time signal indicator LED on the transmitter side, making it easy to observe transmission status and debug your IR communication setup. Both modules operate at 5V with digital signal I/O — connect DAT to the digital output and OUT to the GPIO port of your microcontroller for simple integration.
Ideal for infrared remote control, IR communication, home automation, obstacle avoidance, and robotics projects using Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, Raspberry Pi, and other 5V microcontroller platforms.
