Quick Overview

This DIYables combo bundles the ESP32-C3 SuperMini development board with its matching expansion board, two of each. The dev board is built on a single-core 32-bit RISC-V processor running up to 160 MHz with integrated 2.4 GHz WiFi and Bluetooth LE, 11 digital GPIO pins (all PWM capable), and 4 analog ADC inputs, optimized for low-power wearables, portable devices, and battery-powered smart systems. Header pins come presoldered for immediate breadboard use.

The included expansion board is purpose-built for the ESP32-C3 SuperMini, addressing its main limitations: it lets you connect an external 3.7V lithium battery and charge it over USB, and provides two power outputs, VCC1 and VCC2, compatible with ESP32-C3, ESP32-S3, ESP32-H2, and ESP32-C6 boards. An optional solder-jumper pad on the PCB can be shorted to make both VCC1 and VCC2 output the full 3.7V battery voltage when a higher output is needed. All 10 GPIO pins are extended onto the expansion board for convenient sensor and peripheral wiring.

This combo is ideal for wearable IoT projects, battery-powered sensors, portable BLE devices, and prototyping setups that need onboard battery charging and easy GPIO access. With two complete dev-board-and-expansion-board sets, it's well suited for building and testing two devices in parallel, or for classroom and workshop use.

Key Features

  • ESP32-C3 RISC-V Processor — Single-core 32-bit RISC-V processor up to 160 MHz with integrated WiFi and Bluetooth LE for reliable IoT performance
  • 11 GPIO with 4 ADC Inputs — Dev board provides 11 digital GPIO pins (all PWM capable) and 4 analog ADC channels for sensor and peripheral expansion
  • Presoldered Dev Board — Header pins are presoldered for immediate use with breadboards and jumper wires
  • Low Power Wearable Design — Optimized for energy-efficient wearables, portable devices, and battery-powered smart systems
  • Battery Power Expansion — Expansion board connects an external 3.7V lithium battery and supports charging it via USB
  • Dual Power Outputs — VCC1 and VCC2 outputs on the expansion board, compatible with ESP32-C3, ESP32-S3, ESP32-H2, and ESP32-C6 boards
  • Selectable Output Voltage — Optional solder-jumper pad lets both VCC1 and VCC2 output the full 3.7V battery voltage when needed
  • 10 GPIO Pin Extension — Expansion board extends all 10 GPIO pins for convenient sensor and module connections
  • Purpose-Built Pairing — Expansion board is designed specifically for the ESP32-C3 SuperMini to address its power and GPIO access limitations
  • 2 Complete Sets — Includes 2 presoldered dev boards and 2 matching expansion boards for parallel builds, prototyping, or education
  • ...NOTE
  • The expansion board breaks out 10 GPIO pins; the dev board itself has 11 GPIO pins in total. Check your pin requirements before designing around the expansion board's pinout.
  • The solder-jumper pad for the higher voltage output must be bridged manually (e.g. with solder) — VCC1 and VCC2 output a regulated voltage by default until this jumper is shorted.
  • This board operates at 3.3V logic levels. Do not connect 5V signals directly to GPIO pins. Install the ESP32 board package in Arduino IDE before use.
