Quick Overview
This DIYables combo pairs an ESP32-S3-WROOM-1-N16R8 development board with a stackable 44 pin screw terminal expansion board, so you get both the compute module and a clean way to wire it up. The dev board is built around the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1-N16R8 module with a dual-core processor, 16MB flash, 8MB PSRAM, 512KB SRAM, and 384KB ROM, plus integrated 2.4GHz WiFi and Bluetooth 5 LE dual-mode wireless for IoT, AI, and automation work. Two USB Type-C ports handle programming, debugging, and flashing through either USB direct connection or UART download mode, and the header pins arrive presoldered so the board drops straight onto a breadboard.
The expansion board takes that dev board on top and routes every one of its 44 pins out to a clearly labeled industrial grade screw terminal. Wires go in with a screwdriver instead of a soldering iron, solid and stranded conductors both clamp down securely, and the connection holds through vibration in a way jumper wires never do. A pin header row sits alongside the terminals, so standard jumper connections stay available wherever they are more convenient.
Ideal for robotics, home automation, industrial control panels, sensor networks, IoT deployments, and any build that starts on the bench and ends up permanently installed. Development works through Arduino IDE, MicroPython, or ESP-IDF.
Key Features

※ NOTE THAT:
The screw terminal expansion board works only with ESP32-S3 boards that have exactly 44 pins matching its socket layout, such as the included ESP32-S3-WROOM-1-N16R8 dev board. There is no standard ESP32-S3 board layout, so it is not a universal fit for all ESP32-S3 variants.
If using the ESP32-S3 with analog sensors, configure the ADC with 11 dB attenuation to set the voltage reference range to handle up to 3.3V.
