Quick Overview
The DIYables Expansion Board is a stackable breakout board designed for Arduino Nano family boards. This board breaks out all Arduino Nano pins into convenient grouped pin headers, where each group includes one signal pin, one VCC pin, and one GND pin. This unique design eliminates the need for separate power and ground rails, making sensor and module connections incredibly simple. Stack your Nano onto the board and connect sensors or modules directly to the grouped headers—each connection automatically has power and ground available.
The board features 5 I2C expansion pins for connecting multiple I2C devices and includes a DC barrel jack (6-20V) for convenient external power supply. Perfect for robotics, sensor networks, IoT projects, and educational applications where quick prototyping and reliable connections are essential.
Key Features
- Grouped Pin Headers : Each Arduino Nano pin broken out with dedicated VCC and GND pins in the same group, eliminating need for separate power rails and simplifying sensor connections
- Stackable Design : Arduino Nano family boards plug directly on top, with all pins accessible via organized grouped pin headers below
- All Pins Broken Out : Every Arduino Nano pin accessible via convenient 3-pin groups (Signal + VCC + GND) for easy module and sensor wiring
- 5x I2C Expansion Pins : Multiple I2C ports allow connecting several I2C devices simultaneously without additional wiring or breadboards
- DC Barrel Jack : Convenient DC barrel jack connector accepts 6-20V external power supply for powering the Nano and connected peripherals
- Universal Nano Family Compatibility : Compatible with all Arduino Nano family boards including Nano, Nano R4, Nano 33 IoT, Nano RP2040 Connect, Nano 33 BLE Sense, Nano 33 BLE, Nano Every, and Nano ESP32
- Simplified Wiring : Each pin group provides signal, power, and ground together, reducing wiring complexity and minimizing connection errors
- No Breadboard Needed : Grouped pin design eliminates need for breadboards or power distribution boards for most sensor and module connections
- Perfect for Prototyping : Quick sensor connections and organized layout ideal for rapid prototyping, testing, and educational projects
- Power Distribution : VCC and GND available at every pin group ensures clean power distribution across all connected modules
- Organized Layout : Clear labeling and logical pin grouping makes project development faster and more intuitive
- Versatile Applications : Excellent for robotics, sensor networks, IoT devices, educational projects, rapid prototyping, and development platforms
