Quick Overview

The DIYables XH-M350 Backup Battery Switching Module keeps a 12V DC load running when the main supply disappears. Whenever voltage is present on the main power input, the module feeds the load from that source. The instant the input drops out, it hands the load over to the connected backup battery, so equipment that cannot tolerate an interruption simply keeps running.

The board handles a control current of up to 12A and up to 150W at DC 12V, which covers routers, modems, network switches, cameras, small pumps, and most other low voltage DC equipment. Copper screw terminal blocks are used for every connection, so the main input, battery, and load wires clamp down securely without soldering or crimping, and thicker conductor wire is easy to fit. Each board measures 54mm x 26.6mm and weighs about 30g, small enough to mount inside a control cabinet, an equipment housing, or an existing enclosure alongside the battery.

Ideal for incubators and hatching cabinets, computers and network gear, security and monitoring installations, aquarium equipment, access control systems, and any 12V setup where an outage would cost data or spoil a process.

Key Features

  • Automatic Battery Switchover — Powers the load from the main input while it is present and switches to the backup battery the moment that input drops out
  • Main Power Priority — Runs from the main source whenever it is available so the backup battery is only drawn on during an outage
  • 12A Control Current — Effective control current of up to 12A for driving larger 12V DC loads
  • 150W Power Support — Handles up to 150W at DC 12V, covering routers, cameras, pumps, and similar equipment
  • DC 12V Operation — Designed around a 12V DC control voltage for standard 12V power and battery systems
  • Copper Screw Terminals — Every connection clamps into a copper terminal block for a secure low resistance joint with no soldering
  • Compact PCB — 54mm x 26.6mm board weighing about 30g fits inside control cabinets and equipment enclosures
  • No Special Tools Required — Wiring is done with a screwdriver, making installation straightforward for non-specialists
  • 2 Pack Value Set — Two modules for protecting separate circuits, a spare, or a second installation
  • Versatile Applications — Incubators, computers, network gear, CCTV, aquariums, and access control power backup
  • ...NOTE
  • This module is designed for DC 12V systems. Connect the main power input, the backup battery, and the load to the terminals marked on the board, and confirm the combined load stays within the 12A and 150W ratings before powering the circuit.
