The DIYables XH-W1209 Digital Thermostat is a self-contained temperature control switch that reads a temperature with an NTC probe and drives a relay when that reading crosses a set point. It covers a wide -50°C to 110°C range with 0.1°C resolution, and a three digit red LED display shows the live temperature so the current state is readable at a glance without a serial monitor or a host microcontroller.
Three buttons on the board handle everything: Set enters programming mode, and the plus and minus buttons adjust the target temperature and the hysteresis. Because the onboard relay is rated for 10A, it can switch a heater, fan, pump, heat lamp, or cooler directly rather than through an extra driver stage. The module runs from a DC 12V supply, and screw terminals handle both the incoming supply and the switched load. A waterproof NTC 10K probe on a lead is included with each unit, so the sensor can sit in a tank, an incubator, or outdoors while the board stays dry.
Each set also ships with a transparent acrylic enclosure and mounting hardware, which protects the PCB while leaving the display and buttons visible. The 10A relay rating is the contact rating. When switching mains-voltage loads, ensure the wiring, enclosure, and installation meet local electrical safety requirements, and keep the low-voltage control side isolated from the switched side.
